I've been shopping New York & Company since they were Lerner New York. Let's just say it use to be my go to retailer for outfits for anything between work and church. When I relocated a few years ago, there was no New York & Co. in the small town I lived in...life became denim shorts and t-shirts for work and bathing suits and flip flops for play.
Fast forward to 2020 when a pink sweater caught my eye!
There Collaborative Collections are usually what draws my eye. I have several pieces of the Gabriele Union and Eva Mendes Collections - - a go to for cute, ready to wear pieces for the office, going out or a mom on the go. This time it was the Happy Nature By Kate Hudson Collection that had me on the site adding items to my basket and yall know I love to save my coins so the 50% off on my entire purchase really had me lit!
The Happy Nature Collection is all about combining fashion and nature as well as the impact that fashion has on the environment. 75% of their Spring & Summer Collections are derived from recycled, organic and responsibly sourced fabrics.
Let's take a look at the collection!
Villa Sweater With Recycled Polyester
I enjoyed this chunky eye lit sweater. The color shown on the model and the actual color differed as you see, but I don't mind. #keeper
Day Dream Maxi Dress
This dress is beautiful! The color is rich and the material felt great against my skin. Because this dress has no real shape to it, you have to create shape with a belt or an off the shoulder look.
As you see from the tags, I did not keep this one.
I would love this dress in black though!
Aurora Metallic Top
I was excited about this metallic piece and I was not disappointed. It gives just right amount of drama and flare. This could be worn several different ways but I wore it with jeans twice and loved the mix between dressy and casual. This top is elegant and the construction was perfect. Paired with an interesting bottom, this top can easily take you to avant-garde! Love it! #keeper
I'm a really loving person who just can't seem to kick my resting B face habit! I'm trying yall...no I'm not. Lol!
I was overdressed for the zoom meeting and Alexandria is over the quarantine!
Amelia Maxi Dress
I wanted to try this dress because I love a good, rich print! This one didn't disappoint! #keeper
Endless Summer Short In Avalon Wash
I did not keep the shorts or the top.
Lexi did outfits with me and added her Tutu for this picture!
Dulce Eyelet Ultra High Waist Seamed
Jean In Ice Flow Wash
Jeans have always been a hard buy for me because of my shape, jeans either usually are too big and too long or to small and too short. I'm never sure of the right size because of my continuing weight loss journey.
In this case I ordered these too big, I loved the print of the denim and the versatility it offered so I ordered in the right size. #keeper
So between Covid-19, school and work --I didn't catch The Six anywhere but here's to the six outfits from the New York & Co. & Kate Hudson Collaboration! Overall, I loved the pieces, they were very well constructed, the colors were rich and the material comfortable! I would definitely order again!
