NOTE TO

WORDS THAT HEAL COACHING WITH

I was in second grade when my Language Arts teacher gave us one of those marble composition notebooks and told us to free write everyday for 5 mins.  I started out writing for the 5 mins assigned and within a few days, I'd filled up the notebook already. I was also in the 2nd grade, the first time I was sexually assaulted. The merging of writing and healing began then.

Through the unmoveable love of God, writing & therapy, I learned to heal from trauma and abuse. I believe that creativity, healing & self discovery go hand in hand.

I help women find, accept and express their truths through self care & deep writing. My guidance enables self-acceptance and creative courage so connections can be made, stories can be told and depth can be celebrated.

Through this creative & honest process true healing is invevitble.

As a creative healing & wellness coach, I cover topics related to creativity, self-discovery, emotional health & wellness.  Note To Self focuses on writing to heal, changing your Self Talk and creating the narrative you want to see!

My sessions explore the joys and pains of womanhood, enlightenment, self-exploration, heartbreak, healing, faith & spiriutality.

Note To Self: Using Words To Heal

The act of writing engages internal healing resources that affect mental and physical health. Expressive writing has the power to help you reduce heart rate and blood pressure, minimize stress, strengthen the immune system, and improve your self-esteem.

Transform Your Self Narrative:  Note To Self is a transformative experience that helps you access your inner healing voice. You do not need to have writing experience or aspirations in order to participate. Your coach, Kate, will lead you through a progression of restorative writing exercises.

Note To Self employs different modes of writing that help you to heal in unique ways, including:

  • Expressive writing, which removes obstacles and moves you beyond a personal, private emotional upheaval or crisis.

  • Transactional writing, which allows you to take care of unfinished business and conveys your feelings, expectations, and intentions for yourself and others, in gratitude, compassion, forgiveness and loving kindness.

  • Poetic writing, which uses narrative structure and metaphor to tell your story as you wish to tell it.

  • Affirmative writing, which centers your focus on your best qualities and how you would like to express your life in the future.

  • Legacy writing, which teaches you to write for others about your values, major life lessons, turning points and epiphanies.
